Our Story
Founded in 2008 by Miki Tadesse, MIKI Architecture started in a converted garage in Bole. The vision was simple: create architecture rooted in Ethiopian modernism—spaces that celebrate natural light, honest materials, and the rhythms of daily life.
Early projects were small residential renovations, but word spread quickly. Clients appreciated the uncommon attention to detail and the way designs seemed to understand their lives before they'd even spoken.
As Addis Ababa transformed, so did the studio. We expanded into commercial, hospitality, and cultural projects, always maintaining the belief that every building—regardless of scale—should feel like a place you want to return to.
Today, our team of architects and interior designers works across Ethiopia and beyond, guided by the same curiosity and care that shaped those first sketches.
